ADENTAN: Education Sub-Committee Chair, Assemblyman Call for Integrated Curriculum and Balanced Child Development

ACCRA, GHANA — Strategic investments in integrated education and a balanced approach to child development are critical pathways for community growth and social mobility in Ghana.These assertions were made by local government officials over the weekend during the graduation ceremony of the Al Ra'id International Community School in Ashale Botwe.Call for Investment in Integrated Islamic and Secular EducationThe Chairman of the Education Sub-Committee for the Adentan Municipal Assembly, Honorable Mohammed Nurudeen, urged the Muslim community to heavily invest in integrated educational institutions.Hon. Nurudeen, who also serves as the Assembly Member for New Adenta and chaired the occasion, emphasized that combining secular and Islamic education is crucial for reforming the educational framework of the Muslim community. He challenged the Ummah to actively fund and establish schools that bridge the gap between academic excellence and spiritual development."We must look at establishing centers that offer both secular and Islamic education. This is how we develop and improve our educational system as Muslims," Nurudeen stated. "I also advise the Ummah to support any of our brothers or sisters venturing into this sector. Collective effort will foster growth and create jobs."He further noted that individual success must feed back into community development, adding that pooling resources to build these dual-curriculum schools will create sustainable employment for youth while helping families climb the social ladder.
