A GREAT HONOUR TO SERVE OUR TRADITIONAL AREA (GOMOA ASSIN TRADITIONAL AREA)

Last week, I had the honour of participating in the meeting of the Paramount Chiefs (Nananom) of the Central Region, having been delegated by Obirifo Ahun Ahor Ankobea II to represent him as the Omanhene of the Gomoa Assin Traditional Area, the largest traditional area in the Central Region, comprising over 165 towns and communities.

The meeting was chaired by the President of the Central Regional House of Chiefs and was graced by the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, and their entourage, who paid a working visit to Nananom.

I sincerely express my profound gratitude to Obirifo Ahun Ahor Ankobea II for the confidence reposed in me and for the great honour of representing him on such an important occasion.

As part of the celebrations marking 25 years of the distinguished reign of Obirifo Ahun Ahor Ankobea II as Omanhene of the Gomoa Assin Traditional Area, the launch of the Silver Jubilee Anniversary will take place on Friday, 7th August 2026, at Gomoa Ojobi. I am deeply honoured to serve as the Chairman for this historic event in my capacity as Nana Francis Essel-Okyeahene I (PhD), Nyimdzee Kesehen of the Gomoa Assin Traditional Area and Gyaasehene of Gomoa Wassah.

The grand Silver Jubilee Celebration will be held on 29th September 2026. I warmly invite everyone to join us as we celebrate this remarkable milestone in the history of the Gomoa Assin Traditional Area.
